Donald Trump has pledged to resolve the ongoing border conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan this time.

During his trip to the Middle East to discuss ending the Gaza war, U.S. President Donald Trump said he was aware of clashes between Pakistan and Afghanistan and expressed his willingness to help reduce tensions. He emphasized his experience in making peace, as both nations reported heavy casualties from recent border fighting.

While en route to the Middle East for talks aimed at ending the Gaza war, U.S. President Donald Trump said he had learned of ongoing clashes along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border and expressed his willingness to help ease tensions between the two nations.

Trump remarked that he was adept at achieving peace. Intense fighting reportedly erupted along the Pakistan–Afghanistan border on Saturday night and continued until Sunday morning.

According to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), 23 Pakistani soldiers were martyred while retaliating against aggression from Kabul, and around 200 Taliban fighters and their allies were killed. Afghanistan, however, claimed that 58 Pakistani soldiers died in the clashes.

During his Middle East trip to discuss plans for ending the Gaza conflict, Trump spoke with reporters aboard his plane while heading to Israel, addressing ongoing peace efforts in Gaza.

Responding to a question about the Gaza war, Trump said, “This will be the eighth war I have resolved. I’ve heard that a conflict is now taking place between Pakistan and Afghanistan. I’ll have to wait until I return to address it since I’m currently dealing with another one. Because I’m skilled at stopping wars and establishing peace, it would be an honor for me to take this on. I can save hundreds of thousands of lives.”
