Hackers have taken control of Islami Bank’s verified Facebook account.

The verified Facebook page of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited was hacked by a group identifying as “MS 470X” on October 3. Profile and cover photos were replaced, and multiple posts were made. The bank has not yet issued a statement, raising concern among customers and stakeholders.

The verified Facebook page of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited, one of the country’s leading private commercial banks, has reportedly been hacked.

Early on Friday (October 3), a hacker group confirmed the breach by posting on the bank’s official page.

Sources report that at 5:42 AM, the hackers published their first post. While the page name remained unchanged, both the profile and cover photos were replaced with images linked to the hacker group.

Throughout the day, the group posted multiple updates, identifying themselves in the first post as “MS 470X.” Additional posts followed in succession.

The breach of a verified social media account belonging to a major financial institution has sparked concern among customers and stakeholders. As of this report, the bank has not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
