Trump vows zero tolerance for delays by Hamas in peace talks with Israel

US President Donald Trump warned Hamas to act quickly on peace talks with Israel, praising Israel’s temporary pause in bombing but vowing not to tolerate delays or renewed threats from Gaza. His remarks follow Israeli airstrikes on Gaza City that killed one and injured several.

‘Move quickly, or all bets are off,’ Trump warns Hamas

US President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Hamas, urging the group to act swiftly on the ongoing peace negotiations with Israel.

“We can now bring you a new comment from President Trump,” the White House said.

On his Truth Social account, Trump wrote: “I appreciate that Israel has temporarily stopped the bombing in order to give the Hostage release and Peace Deal a chance to be completed.”

He added that Hamas must seize this window of opportunity: “Hamas must move quickly, or else all bets will be off. I will not tolerate delay, which many think will happen, or any outcome where Gaza poses a threat again. Let’s get this done, FAST. Everyone will be treated fairly!”

Trump’s remarks come amid growing frustration in Washington over fears that Hamas could drag out negotiations to buy time, while Israel continues to face domestic pressure to resume full-scale operations if no breakthrough occurs.

The comments also follow reports of three separate Israeli airstrikes on Gaza City earlier in the day, one of which killed at least one person and left several others wounded, according to medical sources at al-Shifa hospital.

US officials believe that Trump’s firm stance is intended both to reassure Israel of American backing and to pressure Hamas into making concessions quickly, particularly on the release of hostages and commitments that Gaza will not serve as a base for renewed attacks.
